Went surfing today and had a really good time. HotWax is having a big sale and I got 2 new flannel shirts. Work was crazy and then Misty and I went to dinner at Jack Mackerels and drove out onto the beach.
Successful day if I say so myself.

Should students be able to carry concealed?
I am a member on multiple firearm forums. www.glocktalk.com being one of the main ones. The topic of students who are licenced to carry concealed weapons being allowed to carry on campus came up, and here is my response to one particular post.
I've had this argument with anti's before, I'm surprised I'm having to say it on a glock forum.
1. I am a 21 year old college student at ECU in Greenville, NC
2. I have a gun.
3. I'm licensed by the state of NC to carry concealed.
3. I have teachers that piss me off.
4. While I don't drink often, I do occasionally.
5. I take prescription meds. Mainly for my asthma, but I also have pain killers for the 2 herniated disks in my back.
I do all of the above responsibly. I've had teacher's get me pretty heated. However, being pissed doesn't make me a murderer. Just because I'm upset at a teacher doesn't mean that I want to physically harm them. When I do drink, I secure my gun. I have no intention to use my gun while I have been drinking and I never drink enough to not be in control of the situation.
Anyone who is in college (and 21) CAN arm themselves. Simply because they can't arm themselves while on campus, doesn't mean that they can't arm themselves at all other times. If I am 21 and chose to get a concealed carry permit, and I am considered mature and responsible enough to carry everywhere else during my day to day life, what is it about stepping onto a college campus that makes me all of a sudden too immature and irresponsible to carry.
What about adult students? In almost every one of my classes there is at least 1 student that is older than the professor. Is a 40 year old too irresponsible to do what he has been doing for 20 years simply because he is a student?
I hope that this sheds a little light on the subject. If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to discuss this with you.

Today I got new Hurley and Reef stickers for my car. I didn't do alot all day but for dinner I grilled a New York strip and watched The Love Guru. It had its funny parts but it wasn't great. Tomorrow I think I am going to do some school work and be incredibly bored.
A side note...why in the hell can no 2 establishments make a caramel macchiato that tastes the same, or for that matter, make one that tastes the same 2 times in a row. The best one I've ever had was at a Port City Java in Newbern, but the PCJ in Wilmington can't make one for shit. Starbucks is usualy ok but today it tastes like burnt milk.

Tramadol is the shit
I was at the bank today cashing a check so that I could pay my electric bill when my back almost completely gave out on me. It had been hurting since yesterday, but I had to sit down for a few minutes because I simply could not stand up. After a few minutes I was able to take care of my business and get home and take some of my Tramadol, which is a non narcotic prescription pain killer. 15 minutes later I felt great. It blows my mind at how well this stuff kills pain with no side effects whatsoever.
I got a really nice New York strip and some sirloin tip to grill tomorrow. Harris Teeter has great deals on meat if you have a VIC card.
I was finally able to get my watch today. It is a Nixon Lowdown tide watch. The band is rubber so it is very comfortable. It has a bunch of different functions, but I basically wanted it for the fact that it is a tide watch that was made for surfers.

I ended up finding a dry patch of concrete and installed my speakers. I hit a few road blocks, but overall they went in without much trouble. I think I reversed the polarity on the front driver's side speaker so I need to go back in and switch the wires.
I drove out to the UPS warehouse but the truck wasn't back yet so I didn't get my watch. I told them to just hold it there and I'll go pick it up tomorrow.

So this is my blog
I've decided to start a blog so that I can keep track of my thoughts. I get mighty bored up here at ECU and I'd like to have a place to leave anything that may cross my mind. I'm sure that I will cover many bases, from politics to art, technology to camping, and everything in between.
I am a college student, a surfer, a photographer, and a bit of a firearm enthusiast. I know a little bit about everything and everything about nothing.
